Android Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Lead to join our team and take ownership of our Android development initiatives. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding the Android team through the development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality code, implementing best practices, and unifying processes across multiple SCRUM teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier mobile applications that align with business objectives and user needs.

• Technical Leadership: Lead the Android development team, providing guidance and technical expertise to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  
• Task Distribution & Estimation: Collaborate with product managers and SCRUM Masters to estimate tasks, distribute work among team members, and ensure deadlines are met.
  
• Development Process Setup: Define and set up a structured development process for the Android team, ensuring that all teams follow consistent workflows, coding standards, and best practices.
  
• Code Reviews: Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, code quality, performance optimization, and proper documentation.
  
• Unifying Development Practices: Establish and enforce a unified development process across all SCRUM teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with business objectives.
  
• Best Practices: Promote and ensure the use of best practices in mobile development, including architecture patterns, clean code, security standards, and performance optimization.
  
• Git Workflows: Manage and enforce Git workflows to maintain an organized and scalable codebase across all developers and teams.
  
• CI/CD & Automation: Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines, using Jenkins to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
  
• Platform-Specific Tools: Oversee the use of platform-specific tools and dependency managers (e.g., Gradle) to ensure efficient and scalable development practices.
  
• Mobile Application Security: Ensure that all applications meet the highest standards of security by implementing and enforcing mobile security best practices.
  
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment on project goals.
  
• Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them grow their skills and knowledge.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve development processes, identifying areas for increased efficiency and quality.
  

• +7 Years of experience in Android Field + 3 years as a lead
• Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a development team, assign tasks, and manage resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
  
• Expertise with Android Studio and the full mobile development lifecycle.
  
• Experience working with Git workflows, ensuring efficient collaboration across development teams.
  
• Proven experience with CI/CD processes, specifically using Jenkins for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
  
• In-depth understanding of Gradle as a platform-specific dependency manager.
  
• Strong knowledge of mobile application security best practices.
  
• Experience working within the SCRUM framework, including task estimation and team collaboration.
  
• Hands-on experience with the app distribution process, including release management on Google Play.
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the Android development team.
  
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
  
• Knowledge of mobile app analytics and crash reporting tools.
  
• Previous Experience in Fin-tech and banking is a must
