Email & SMS Manager (Contractor)

As the Email Manager (Contract), you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth through strategic marketing initiatives and effective project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute retention initiatives, pull & analyze performance metrics, and manage various projects to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes. Required availability to attend meetings / working sessions (potential in-person attendance, if local to Los Angeles).

• Oversee Canadian Ruggable email and SMS programs in partnership with Associate Director and Email Marketing Manager
• Work closely with Associate Director and Email Marketing Manager on US email flows & triggers strategies
• Support the team in downloading and analyzing data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Maintain email and SMS calendars, keeping them up to date and filled out with extreme attention to detail
• Collaborate cross functionally to ensure timeline constraints are met
• Act as a backup for our external email slicing agency
• Participate in email and SMS team QA sessions, creative reviews, and strategy discussions
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement growth marketing strategies aligned with company goals
• Build and present performance decks
• Research and practice, stay ahead of the latest updates regarding tools, techniques, and methods related to email and SMS marketing

• 3-4 years experience working in CRM/Retention/Lifecycle Marketing
• Previous experience working in ESP (Klaviyo preferred)
• Experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Extensive understanding of email/sms marketing metrics (OR, CTR, CVR) and the ability to review data and develop actionable insights
• Excitement for learning and improving; self-reflecting, takes feedback well, provides ideas
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Comfortable with having prioritization conversations cross-functionally
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Organized and detail oriented with the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
• Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving business growth
• Availability during the hours of 8am-5pm pacific

• Experience with Asana or other project management tool
• Previous experience working with SMS vendor (Postscript preferred)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or XML
• Experience with email deliverability
• Experience with loyalty and refer a friend programs (Yotpo preferred)

• $48-57/hr DOE (max of 40 hours per week with opportunity for full-time hire next year)
