Ultrasound Technologist Requirements:·Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing diagnostic procedures and related responsibilities in a hospital or outpatient setting·Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound or Cardiac Ultrasound Technology program required.·Certification/Licensure for General Sonography: 1) RDMS and RVT/RVS or ARRT and RVT/RVS or any other equivalent Certification. ·Certified in at least one of the following areas: ABD, OB/GYN, Breast and/or vascular. oCPR/BLS for Health Care Providers.·Certification/Licensure for Cardiovascular SonographyoRDCS/RCS and RVT/RVSoCPR/BLS for Health Care Providers.·Teaching, Instructing or Training background preferred, minimum student precepting.
Ultrasound Technologist Job Responsibilities:·Ability to instruct in the operation of various ultrasound equipment.·Instruct in the performance of ultrasound diagnostic studies in accordance with accepted protocols.·Maintain professional demeanor and respond promptly and professionally to all work-related calls received.·Contact the assigned facility with estimated start time and begin within prescribed timeframe.·Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.·Maintain work areas in compliance with client’s standards.·Maintain accurate records, reports and files, as directed.·Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.·Document work processes, as required.·Perform other duties, as assigned.
The Remote Hands Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer works via remote at client facilities to perform ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients. This role involves providing verbal instructions for diagnostic ultrasounds. The Technologist is also responsible for all post-processing tasks, including measurements, annotations, and reviewing telehealth ultrasound.
