Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver. Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is looking for an experienced data professional to discover, design, and implement techniques which will consume data from multiple sources and generate real world protection and intelligence. This intelligence will then be used throughout the product in ways that allow Halcyon to protect its customers from the threat of ransomware.
Responsibilities:Consume, clean, correlate, model, test, and report on Halcyon’s data
Provide suggestions for future data collection and storage to increase data effectiveness
Knowledge with the following languages: SQL and Python
Experience with one or more of the following data platforms: Databricks/Spark, SQL (Any)
- Experience with the AWS Cloud
Understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Delta Lakes
Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations
Excellent reporting and communication skills
Knowledge of additional languages/platforms(Scala, Elastic/OpenSearch, Stream Processing/Kafka)
Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis
Familiarity with network threats, protections, EDR, threat classification and endpoint security

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000
Bonus Target: 10%
In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
