Where you will have an impact

As we expand our operations globally and grow our public profile, the security threat to Wayve also increases. In this dynamic environment, ensuring we continue to effectively manage security risk is essential to our commitment to safety and trust. Physical security is critical to safeguarding our sites and assets, ensuring the integrity of our operations, and maintaining the confidence of the public and our partners.

We have multiple sites in London, San Francisco, and Vancouver, from offices to operational facilities housing fleets of vehicles, and continued expansion plans for the future as the organisation continues to grow.

We are keen to hire an experienced security professional for this critical role. You’ll need to be proactive about identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring we maintain our secure position as a trusted leader in autonomous driving.

Challenges you will own
  • Establishing and operating a global physical security program to ensure the security of all Wayve sites and operations, current and future.
  • Maintaining an understanding of physical security threats and risks.
  • Analysing threat intelligence and providing actionable recommendations to the business.
  • Accountable for organisational policies, standards and processes for physical security.
  • Ensuring Wayve’s physical security controls are fit for purpose, aligned with industry best practice, and support our compliance with industry frameworks such as ISO27001.
  • Managing a network of security service suppliers.
  • Auditing physical security controls on a regular basis and recommending improvements accordingly.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and support to teams across Wayve.

  • Proven experience managing physical security risks within a global organisation.
  • Experience establishing relationships with and managing multiple suppliers to ensure service level agreements are adhered to.
  • Experience auditing and driving improvements to the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Experience in risk identification and management.
  • The ability to collaborate with, and manage, stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Willing and able to operate with a large degree of autonomy in establishing and executing our physical security program.
  • Willing and able to travel to Wayve sites globally.
Desirable
  • Hands-on experience administering security systems e.g. CCTV, access control, intruder alarms.
  • Experience implementing physical security controls in compliance with frameworks such as ISO27001.
