Your opportunity

We are currently looking for an Sr. Accounts Payable Supervisor (Contract) who will provide leadership and oversight for the AP functions at Vytalize Health.

What You Will Do
  • Participates and may oversee the day-to-day operations, work with accounts payable staff, delegates work, establishes deadlines, and communicates expectations. First line of defense for resolving escalated issues. Escalate to manager as needed.
  • Supervises, coaches, and advises the accounts payable staff on procedures, controls, and issue resolution; train new team members.
  • Provides problem and invoice resolution assistance to vendors and internal company personnel.
  • Maintain process documentation & flowcharts, reference materials and training guides.
  • Help with the build-out SOX control environment including purchase order processes; develops, modifies, and implements efficient and effective accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Maintain guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account records; maintains accurate vendor records.
  • Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
  • Ensure employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors for the payables clerk to prepare and submit 1099s.
  • Manages accurate and timely processing of monthly accounts payable expenditures including document review, vendor set-up and maintenance, and invoice processing; ensures accurate coding of expenditures and regular review for compliance with internal policies and controls.
  • Will assist with implementation of business expense reporting tools, monitor employee expense reporting, and provide support to users.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable state, federal, and international regulations, and reporting requirements such as Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 1099 and Form 1042 reporting.
  • Ensures best practice internal controls and policies are consistently reviewed and updated to prevent fraud and other errors from occurring; communicated to other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
What will make you successful here
  • AA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 4+ years’ accounts payable experiencewithin a publicly traded company
  • 2 years management experience, building out a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, assign, direct and evaluate work of subordinates.
  • Ability to analyze and research documents.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and respectful, professional customer service
