Whereby, initially launched as appear.in in 2013, is a video conferencing platform that allows users to conduct meetings directly through their web browsers without the need for downloads or installations. The company was founded as part of a summer project within the Norwegian telecom company Telenor and later spun out as an independent entity under the ownership of Videonor AS in 2017. Whereby is headquartered in Måløy, Norway, with a mission to provide a seamless, flexible video meeting experience that empowers people to work and live where they thrive.
