Description
PCG is looking for a Cerner Millennium PharmNet Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the use of the Cerner Millennium PharmNet software within our healthcare organization. You will collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT staff to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy system and its integration with other healthcare systems.
Responsibilities:- Implement and configure Cerner Millennium PharmNet software to meet the organization's pharmacy management needs.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to gather requirements and design workflows that align with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues related to Cerner Millennium PharmNet.
- Provide end-user training and support to pharmacy staff on the effective utilization of the system.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements to optimize pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate Cerner Millennium PharmNet with other healthcare systems, such as electronic health records (EHR) and medication dispensing machines.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, in all aspects of pharmacy system operations.
- Stay updated with new releases, features, and upgrades of Cerner Millennium PharmNet and communicate relevant information to the team.
- Maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field. A PharmD or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in working with Cerner Millennium PharmNet or similar pharmacy management systems.
- Experience in system implementation, configuration, and support, preferably in a healthcare IT environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare information standards, such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security standards related to pharmacy systems.
