QA Engineer - ComputeWe are looking for an enthusiastic QA Engineer to join our Compute team at bunny.net - The Content Delivery platform that truly Hops! . You will play a critical role in ensuring that our globally distributed platform performs optimally, helping to define, create, and steer the quality and testing processes across our platform. What will you do?
- Translate Product Goals into Tests: Convert product goals and requirements into comprehensive automation test suites that ensure high-quality delivery.
- Define and Implement Automation Testing: Establish and evolve automation testing frameworks and processes for each product, ensuring they are integrated into the SDLC effectively.
- Maintain and Evolve Test Suites: Regularly update and maintain automation test suites to maximize coverage and reduce the need for manual testing.
- Develop and Execute Test Plans: Independently design, develop, and execute software test plans that align with product specifications and quality standards.
- Framework Development: Implement new testing frameworks as needed to keep up with the evolving demands of the platform.
- Defect Management: Identify, analyze, and manage defects, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and do not impact the platform’s performance.
- Create and Maintain Test Data: Develop and maintain the necessary test data to support comprehensive testing scenarios.
- Maximize Automation: Continuously work to enhance automation, minimizing manual testing efforts and improving overall testing efficiency.
- Extensive QA Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Automation Tester, particularly in C# .NET environments.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript, Python, C#, or related, to create and manage automated tests.
- Distributed Systems Testing: Proven experience in testing distributed systems, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
- Container Orchestration Expertise: Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker or similar container orchestration solutions, ensuring that containerized environments are thoroughly tested.
- Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networks, including anycast routing, load balancers, and proxies, to ensure comprehensive testing across networked systems.
- Test Suite Development: Capable of designing and creating test suites from scratch, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- API Testing Proficiency: Extensive experience in API testing using frameworks such as RestAssured, Playwright, and Soap UI.
- Defect Management: A complete understanding of the defect management lifecycle, from identification to resolution.
- CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Prior experience working with CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing processes to ensure continuous delivery.
- Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile and Scrum environments, contributing to iterative development processes.
- Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, taking initiative and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Startup Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
- Remote Work Proficiency: Experience working in a fully remote setting, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.
