ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for senior level front-end engineers who are passionate about creating exceptional user interfaces that are a delight to use. You would collaborate with a small but growing team working on the frontier of generative AI in the legal space.

The Tech Stack

Our front-end tech stack is built in Typescript and uses frameworks such as React, Tailwind, Vite, Storybook, and OfficeJS. You would also have opportunities to work with other modern tech including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other large language models (LLMs), Node, Mongo, Docker, AWS, CDK.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working with our product team to design and plan optimal user flows and impactful enhancements.

  • Taking a lead role on the development of application features, translating ideas and designs into polished, functional features.

  • Improving the performance and reliability of existing functionality and addressing user feedback through bug fixes.

  • Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.

  • Keeping the bar of quality high and mentoring developers in best practice frontend engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Software Development.

  • You have a keen eye for design, and love building intuitive and attractive user interfaces.

  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to efficiently explain and advocate for your ideas.

  • You can take a product feature from a vague abstract idea, to a demo beta implementation, to a production ready feature deployed to customers.

  • You are a self-starter and problem-solver motivated by curiosity and a desire to help others succeed, encouraged by continuous improvement.

  • You have the ability to break complex projects down into clear achievable plans to get product features shipped in record time.

  • You are a team player who is motivated to help Spellbook succeed. When things break you are eager and able to help fix them. You think of and implement ways to help and improve the work of the team as a whole.

NICE TO HAVES:
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Storybook, Figma

  • Experience in startup environments where things are quickly prototyped and shipped

  • Proven experience driving new and innovative product features from concept to production
